St. Agnes Kids Sing to the Alliance Fire Department

On Wednesday afternoon around 2:30pm students in the 6th through the 8th grade of St. Agnes sang to the Alliance Volunteer Fire Department. One of the songs the St. Agnes students sang was the “Star Spangled Banner”. After that students asked the Fire Department questions regarding the duties at the fire department, such as, “how many calls the AVFD receives annually”? Alliance Fire Chief Troy Shoemaker answered that saying, “900 calls a year with 675 of those calls being ambulance calls”. Shoemaker says they currently have 44 active firefighters.
