GERING, Neb. (AP) – A 26-year-old Scottsbluff man has been accused of using a baseball bat to threaten his mother while trying to rob her.
Online court records say J. Bradley Arnold is charged with terrorist threats, false imprisonment and other crimes. The records don’t list the name of an attorney who could be contacted to comment on Arnold’s behalf. Jail records say Arnold remained in custody on Tuesday.
Arnold was arrested at his mother’s house on Saturday. Officers had been sent there to check on her welfare.
She told police her son kicked in a door to get inside, demanded her car keys and money and grabbed her by the throat after menacing her with the bat.
