Pile Honored for Service at CHS Annual Meeting

Bob Pile of Scottsbluff was honored by CHS Inc., the nation’s leading farmer-0wned cooperative, for contributing 41 years of service to strengthening and growing farmer-owned co-ops. He was recongnized at the CHS Annual Meeting held in Minneapolis Dec. 1-2, 2016.
Pile, who is general manager of Panhandle Co-op Association, has been part of the cooperative system for 41 years. Throughout that time, he has contributed to the success of the cooperative system, which is committed to serving its customers and owners. Carl Casale, president and CEO, CHS; Lisa Zell, executive vice president, Business Solutions, CHS; and Lynden Johnson, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Country Operations, CHS, congratulated the group of 10 general managers who joined the Cooperative Leadership Circle during a ceremony at the 2016 CHS Annual Meeting.
Since 1973, CHS and its predecessors have honored more than 1,100 cooperative general managers and CEOs who have dedicated their careers to serving and strengthening the cooperative system. The Cooperative Leadership Circle recognizes and honors those cooperative general managers who have served 25 or more years in the cooperative system. Each Cooperative Leadership Circle honoree also received a commemorative watch.
“The cooperative system is made stronger because of individuals like Bob, whose years of service show a true dedication and commitment to the cooperative system,” said Casale. “He is dedicated to helping farmers and ranchers grow today, while also strengthening rural communities for the next generation.
