Effective immediately, the city’s snow removal plan goes into effect when the forecast is for 2 or more inches of snow. Residents are requested to watch the weather forecasts and park their vehicles on the odd numbered sides of streets. This will allow snow plows to open a lane up, residents are to move their vehicle to the clear side by 1pm and the snow removal team will then clear the remaining side. This will clear both curbs and provide a two lane street with your cooperation.
Residents, as you clear your driveways: those on the even sides should do so before 1pm so your snow can be cleared by the afternoon snow removal. Remember to consider your neighbors when moving your snow and note create problems for them and the city.
Yes, this is a new change, but if we’re to have clear streets remember it’s a two way street for cooperation. The real choice, “Is it more inconvenient to move your vehicle or to be plowed in and have a single lane for traffic? We are one community so let’s help each other.
