On June 24th, 2017 Officers of the Chadron Police Department were dispatched to a report of two males forcing their way into a home on Ann St in Chadron. After arriving on scene, officer’s learned that two individuals had entered the home, assaulted one of the occupants and then left the area. Over the course of the investigation, officers learned the identity of the two males and allegations regarding their involvements in the assault.
On July 11th, 2017 Chadron Police arrested Dustin Serres age 21 of Chadron for Disturbing the Peace (Class III Misdemeanor), Criminal Trespass in the 1st degree (Class I Misdemeanor), Aiding in the Consumption of a Felony (Class IV Felony), and False Imprisonment in the 1st degree (Class IIIA Felony). Dustin was taken to Dawes County Jail. His bound was set at 10% of $10,000.00.
Also on July 11th, Chadron Police arrested Brandon Dehling age 23 of Chadron for Strangulation (Class IIIA Felony), Assault in the 3rd degree (Class II Misdemeanor), Disturbing the Peace (Class III Misdemeanor) and Criminal Trespass in the 1st degree (Class I Misdemeanor). Brandon was taken to Dawes County Jail. His bound was set at 10% or $10,000.00.
