AFD Called To Evening Fire, APD Assists

Panhandle Post was on scene of a fire Tuesday evening around 5:41pm. According to Alliance Fire Chief Troy Shoemaker the cause of the fire was, “Hot ashes in a plastic yard waste dumpster…also involving a fence”. Shoemakers says he had one fire engine on scene with five firefighters. The damage estimate is around $1,500. The Alliance Police Department assisted with this situation.
