LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) – Lincoln County authorities say the crash of an all-terrain vehicle has killed a North Platte resident and injured another.
The accident was reported about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday in a rural area southeast of North Platte. The Sheriff’s Office says the northbound ATV rolled as the driver tried to turn right onto another road.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as 49-year-old Martin Porter. His passenger was hospitalized. His name hasn’t been released.
The Sheriff’s Office says consumption of alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, which is being investigated.
