DOVES program Collecting Donation Boxes this Sunday in Alliance

According to Rhonda Cox, the DOVES program will be collecting boxes this coming Sunday at KMart, Verizon, and Viaero Wireless in Alliance.
Girl Scouts builds courage, confidence, and characer. The DOVES Program strongly believes each member of our community is responsible for ending violence against women and for this reason, we the members of Cadette Troop 10202 would like to encourage our community to support the DOVES Program through a needed supply drive that continues until this Sunday. You still have time to make donations that will assist victims of domestic violence in our community. These items could include personal needs such as basic clothing items, basic food items that have a long shelf life or can be cookedin a microwave, or 911 capable cell phones. DOVES helps members of our community through a 24-Hour Hotline (866-95-DOVES), providing safe shelter, offering Emergency needs, and offering support. This cause is important to us because they help victims of Teen Dating Violence, Sexual  Assault, and Stalking, as well as many other domestic violence issues. Cox reminds the community that just because boxes are being collected on Sunday, you can donate to the DOVES Program any time of the year.
