According to the Nebraska State Patrol, Charles Schwaderer, age 62 of Gordon, was driving a 1994 Chevrolet pickup on 230th Lane when he pulled onto Highway 20, striking a 2007 Freightliner semi tractor trailer owned by John Brunner of Gering. Both vehicles were totaled on Wednesday morning. Brunner, age 61 was traveling west on Highway 20 when he was struck. NSP says Highway 20 was shut down for a period of time. Reports say the drivers were transported to Gordon Memorial Hospital. They were released from the hospital with minor injuries.
