United Way of Western Nebraska serving Box Butte County is pleased to announce the service area has been expanded to include Dawes County. Highlighting the new focus, the name will be United Way of Western Nebraska serving Box Butte and Dawes Counties. The office will remain at 723 Flack Ave in Alliance.
Karen Benzel, Director of the area said, “The addition of Dawes County to the Box Butte County service area is a natural expansion.” She went on to say, “Several of our current partner agencies, including CAPstone, DOVES, Disability Rights Nebraska and Northwest Community Action Partnership currently serve both counties.”
Butler Ag and Equipment in Chadron joined the United Way campaign last year and is a new Pacesetter business for the United Way of Western Nebraska serving Box Butte and Dawes Counties. This realignment allows for more focus on Dawes County and opens the doors for non-profit agencies in Dawes County to receive funding. It creates the opportunity for Dawes county businesses and area residents to support United Way impact initiatives and local non-profits through United Way.
